Hickory Construction was selected to construct two facilities for BGTC. The first facility completed ten years ago expanded the meeting room auditorium from 280 seats to 560 seats. This $2.5 million fast track project was started in October and completed in April the following year in time for scheduled classes. Neil Sellers was the director at The Cove with Odell Associates as the designers. Another project completed in 2008 at The Cove was a $1.8 million renovation and addition to the 106.9 FM broadcasting center. Dwayne Daves was the owner’s representative and this project consisted of gutting and retrofitting an old house including all new HVAC, electrical, audio and plumbing systems. This project was completed in ten months with JHS Architects.
This renovation and addition project was our first for BGTC, a highly valued repeat client. It involved renovating and expanding the 280 seat auditorium to 560 seats. This $2.5 million project was a “well-orchestrated fast track project”. It was started in October and was completed in April the following year in time for long-planned season opening program by evangelist Tony Evans.
