The Catawba River Raw Water Pumping Station, on the banks of Lake Lookout,  is capable of supplying 260 million gallons of water per day through 10-foot diameter pipes to the Charlotte, NC area.

This raw water pumping station, on the banks of Moutain Island Lake, required a coffer dam system to hold back the lake and allow for work 60 feet below water level.
