This 24,000 sf LEED Gold Certified project, located in Cherokee, NC, features a state-of-the-art 911 communications center with redundant systems and generator systems, a heliport, office space, conference space and training facilities. The exterior consists of class, pre-cast stone masonry, wood and composite panels. Green components leading to the LEED Gold certification include low VOC materials, use of local products, waste management systems to minimize unrecyclable waste, advanced heating and cooling systems, power saving electrical systems (e.g. motion sensing lighting controls) and ultra-high-efficiency glass.
